The results of the ABC project research have been released.
Key Points of the Announcement:
- Using the ground-based radio telescope “ALMA,” researchers observed the atmosphere of Saturn’s moon Titan, which has a more complex and dense atmosphere than Earth and succeeded in detecting and analyzing radio emissions emitted by subtle molecular gas.
- They observationally revealed that cosmic rays from outside the solar system (a type of radiation) affect the composition of Titan’s atmosphere.
- By combining cutting-edge ground-based telescopes with advanced analysis techniques, they demonstrated scientific achievements comparable to those of spacecraft missions exploring objects directly.
